| Vaughn was a big pup, with very black feet ... almost as if he had walked in wet paint. When he began to grow into himself, the foot-markings faded, but his beauty ~ inside & out ~ did not. Vaughn is determined & athletic, but of gentle spirit. During the rearing process, I watched how Vaughn responded to his dam, Echo ... ... I watched how he observed & learned from his Uncle Rock ... I evaluated his "peacekeeping" behavior with his litter-mates ... I found joy in socializing him with humans of all kinds ~ he loved everyone ~ and I KNEW he would be a great ambassador to the breed. I prayed that I would be presented with the "boy and his dog" scenario for Vaughn ~ and then the call came ! Now, Vauighn's best buddy is Kollin Malsam, and I could not hope for a better friend for Vaughn to have. I liked his family from the beginning ... the respect they all gave to each other was honorable. I knew, if a puppy were placed with them, he would be embraced with the same love and respect, and he would flourish. Vaughn's solid, predictable personality and willingness to do whatever brings happiness to his family, gives him Rock Star status through and through. Although Vaughn was placed in a companion home, he shows more conformation ring potential every time we see him. I am so thrilled with the Malsam family - they are LIVING LIFE with Vaughn ... going to soccer games, hanging out with kids & their friends, being moms sidekick. He is a quick study and sailed through to his International Championship without ANY previous training ~ THE first weekend he had been away from his family. What a wonderful boy ! |
