| I adore this dog ~ he is affectionate and focused, ALWAYS eager to please, and has rich black eyes that melt your heart. Tyler fills our house with personality ~ he is kind, patient, sensitive, comical, alert, willing, BOUNDING with energy, and beautiful to look at. He never disappoints and is always trying to make us smile ... and, we think, at times, he maybe "channeling" Rock :) He is an honest, well balanced male with good bone, solid temperament, and a bold open side gait ... loves to lead out ~ he can REALLY move! Tyler finished his IABCA Championship in one weekend, at 11 months of age, with several Best Puppy in Breed and Group honors. With no previous obedience training, Tyler passed the Canine Good Citizen test that same weekend. Soon after, he passed a Therapy Dog Institute Evaluation during one of his "Dog of the Day" visits at a local Long-term Care Facility. Tyler garnered a Canadian Championship in just three weekends, as a puppy, from the Bred By Exhibitor class ~ being awarded numerous "Bests" ... ... Best Puppy in Breed, Best Junior Sweeps, Best of Winners, Best of Opposite, and Best of Breed. At the DPCA Regional Specialty at the 2008 Nationals, Tyler proudly placed 4th in the Bred By Exhibitor Class, under Judge Fred Heal. At the 2009 DPCA National Obedience Trial, Tyler garnered a Qualifying Score, his 1st Rally Novice leg, and 3rd Place in the Novice A class, under Judge Rick Garvin. At the Western Washington Cluster shows, January 2009, Tyler earned 2nd & 3rd Legs, and was awarded a RALLY NOVICE Title; he also went RWD ... again :). On Memorial Day 2009, we were thrilled to witness Cathy Ceely show Tyler to the honors of Winners Dog & Best of Winners for a 3 point Major!! He was also awarded Best of Opposite Sex, over the male Special, to the lovely Doberman bitch who had gone Best in Show the night before. Two weeks later, Tyler went Winners Dog & Best of Winners yet again, for another point. Tyler completed his first round trip Therapy/Service Dog flight in November 2009, on Continental Airlines. Tyler's solid temperament, strong health statistics, proven pedigree, and sound conformation will offer much to the breed. I am proud of his character & pleased with his progress ... he is a FABULOUS dog. |
