I have been told hat a breeder never forgets the first litter. With over 5,000 photographs, I will always be able to bring back a special day or event ~ the joys, tears, laughter, and work ~ and
while things fade as time goes by, the memories live on, fresh in the mind ... and the heart. I will long remember this experience - the preparation, the praying, the whelping, the rearing;
developing contracts, addressing the hassles, setting boundaries; choosing the best of homes, regretting others; experiencing the joys of success; witnessing the jealousies of others;
realizing the excitement that drives us forward; suffering the vengeful behaviors of those lacking integrity. As the breeder, they are ALL my babies  ~ whom i will love and be devoted to always.
NOTHING can change that.
Wonderful friendships & respect have been formed where least expected ... and in turn, even the gift of being entrusted with a wonderful healthy pup can reveal a recipients indignity.
As the saying goes, "... it was the best of times ... it was the worst of times ..." ~ my lowest lows & my highest highs ... nothing can describe my first litter better than that.
My beautiful "Roller Coaster" - my first girlie ... gone all too soon; Best in Shows and so much winning with my "Holy Roller";  my "Rockin Roller" living with a 'rockin' family;
the "Fire Roller" being my first WAC dog; the "Steam Roller" surviving being 'steam-rolled'; and so, SOOOO much more.
I love these dogs ... and THAT is what it is all about. ~ Roll on, "Roller Babies".
