The week of Thanksgiving 2007, Piper presented with some guarding and swelling to her rear right knee, that ice and rest could not resolve.
She was taken to the vet and evaluated by specialists, diagnosed with end-stage hemangiosarcoma, Piper was PTS just 5 days after diagnosis, (verified splenic).
My heart aches without her ... and all who shared in her life are deeply saddened by her death as well.

Piper was my friend, my helper, my pride and joy ... the 'apple of Todd's eye'.
Knowing her, loving her, living with her .
.. what a blessing, what a thrill.
I will never forget you, my sweet "girlie".

She's a keeper !
I bred the Echo x Carson litter in hopes of having some lovely bitch puppies to choose from ... and then there was "one"... girl, that is.
There was never any question, though ... she was a keeper !!!
Being the only girl in a litter with four brothers, Piper was the "pack princess" ... with adventure on her mind at all times !!!
Piper was the perfect blend and improvement of both her sire and dam, much to my delight.
She had a sweet & animated personality; lovely conformation and carriage; sound movement; great expression; and lots of drive.
Piper was an IABCA Champion at the age of 5 months; a multi Best of Breed winning CKC Champion at just over a year of age;
recieved her first AKC points from the 6-9 puppy class; and was training in agility.
She took a break from the conformation ring when her 1/2 sisters & brothers whelped - to whom she was a great mentor and playmate.
Upon returning to the conformation ring, Piper quickly garnered 2 more AKC points.
