| When Echo had her 8th week pre-whelp X-ray, she shocked us with a whopping 11-puppies skulls/spines counts. On whelp day, she had a c-section ... and boy, am I happy we made that decision ... ... after the eleventh puppy was born happy and healthy we were all in shock at the size of the litter - WOW, eleven!! Then, out came the surgical assistant ... with ANOTHER PUPPY. This little one was hiding way up in the ribcage ~ a tiny precious "raisin girl" ... number 12 ~ she made the "Emerald Dozen". Logan is curvy and fancy and has a lovely front assembly - JUST what I wanted to get from her sire - thank you Gunther, you did NOT disappoint! At 11 months, Logan finished her IABCA Championship in one weekend with several "Bests" ~ ~ Best of Breed Puppy, Best of Breed Bred By Exhibitor Puppy, & Group placements. At 21 months, she garnered a Canadian Championship, with many "Bests" ~ Best of Breed, Best of Breed Bred By Exhibitor, Best of Winners, Best of Opposite Sex, Best Yearling Puppy Female Sweepstakes Winner, and a variety of Group Placements. In AKC venues, Logan was honored at the 2007 DPCA Nationals, in Aurora, Colorado ... placing 3rd in the 6-9 months class, under Judge Nancy Heitzman. This was particularly impressive, as the entry for this 6-9 month puppy bitch class was more than 30 bitches. Logan was also awarded the Spring 2008 PSDPC Specialty Sweepstakes Best Opposite Sex, under Judge Dr. Robert (Bo) Gloster. Logan is a standard size bitch, balanced front to rear, with nice angulation, very ice front assembly, beautiful neck and headpiece ... and has a CLASSIC personality. In addition to presenting in the conformation ring, Logan has jumped into the Rally ring a few times - garnering two qualifying scores toward her Novice title. As of Fall 2009, Logan has begun a collection of Reserve Winners Bitch ribbons ... ... we are currently waiting for the full time American Bred spot to open up in her handlers roster so that she can REALLY become a show girl. This little girlie fills my heart with more joy than anyone can possibly know ... she was truly a surprise ... she is a miracle ... oh, what a blessing. |
