Ledger ... named after Heath Ledger, ("A Knights Tale") ~ both have great presentations, incredible personalities, amazing to look at, true talents.
Ledger has lovely angles, an impressive fore-chest, great bone & substance, wide open side-gait, strong head and expression, and is poured into his skin.
More importantly, is that his temperament is above reproach ~ predictable, solid, protective, sensible, watchful ... true Doberman.
He is bold and sizeable - nearing the top of our Standard - yet, he is so gentle, warm, and aware ... I am told his 'soul-mate' is a tiny child named Natalie.
I knew this dog needed a solidly bonded, active family; space to move & run regularly; devotion to training, and a "must" dedication to the show ring ...
... and have the deserved recognition of his true & unique spirit. I prayed this family would come along.
My prayers were answered ~ Ledger was placed in a wonderful Christian home ~ I could not have hoped for more.
Dayna, Mark, Kayla, Ashton, and Natalie (and Drew) ... each of strong & respectable character; exuding intelligence, family devotion, faith and FUN!!
I am very blessed to know them; and I am extremely proud of the conformation, temperament, and workability of this dog.
At just 2 1/2 years of age, Ledger is an AKC Champion, (finishing 4 points handed by Dayna); has 6 points with both 'majors' in Canada;
earned an IABCA Championship as a puppy with multiple BPIS wins; and, handled by Dayna, Ledger has garnered
an AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate, a CKC Canine Good Neighbor Certificate, and 2 legs toward his Rally Novice title.
Dayna will earn the final Rally leg, but her true passion is Competitive Obedience ... so she is taking over the reigns & headed to the performance ring.
Ledger is well on his way to becoming a Triple Conformation - Dual Performance Titled - Register of Merit Doberman.
How exciting for the Gohman Family ... and for "Katoba" ... my heart is all a-flutter over this dog!
Without a doubt, I look forward to having Ledger be a big part of my breeding program in the future ... he has a lot to offer.
Hopefully, he will be bred to one of the bitches from the "Miss & Mister Litter" in 2011 ... making him the male to affirm the "Katoba" line.
