What a thrill it was ...
... to go to New Mexico for a week long visit with Dave, Joyce, and ANGUS. They live in Rio Rancho, right on the Mesa, where Angus has grown to believe it to be his
own backyard. Each day he has a long walk & free run on the roaming paradise. When I arrived, it was very warm, and throughout my stay we had wind, rain, sun, and
even snow. Joyce treated me to a day of winery touring, wonderful home cooked specialty meals, a lovely guest room where Angus slept beside me each night, and a
day tour of the Sandria Mountains - where I road the longest skytram in the USA. We were able to see Texas from the top. Dave & Joyce took me sightseeing, spent
much of the day at the Jemez, and went for true mexican food. Angus is a naughty mama's boy with Joyce, and a typical man's dog with Dave. I was able to watch one
of Angus & Joyce's private obedience lessons, and I spent a great deal of time just "me & Angus" - we played, walked the Mesa, trained, (he is SOOOOOOO smart),
and snuggled. I miss him dearly. He is a black & tan version of his mother, Echo were temperament & personality count! His head, his play desires, his prey drive, his
speed, fearlessness ~ all just like Echo. I cried buckets when it was time to leave ` it was like the first day he left me all over again.
I am ever grateful for that visit with the Steam Roller, and I look forward to another trip to New Mexico ... as soon as I train another therapy dog for flight!
