| Angus was like the "bull in a china shop" ... or, a steam roller ... when he was a baby. Filled with energy and intense curiosity for everything in his life ... the dog sees life as an adventure. Joyce was looking for a Doberman with lots of working ability that she could train and do some competing with. This lively boy now spends his days running on the beautiful mesa; chasing jack rabbits, coyotes, and even road runners ~ yes he IS that fast. This happy dog lives with Joyce, Dave, and cats-pals: Buddy & "Clawdia-with-a-W". He is a unique mix of his sire and dam: the wonderfully sweet boy-like spirit of his sire, Carson; the beauty, intensity & drive like his dam, Echo. All that with a willingness and yearning to learn ... what a great combination for success-potential. While Angus was the smallest of the boys in the whelping box, he more than makes up for that in personality and drive. With only 20 minutes training, Angus "learned how to be a show dog", went into the IABCA Conformation ring, and left a National & International Champion. In 2007, Angus was tragically run down by a dirt bike rider while on a mesa walk-about with his mother, Joyce. Miraculously, following surgical repair and follow-up, Angus has recovered and is back to his normal 'ways'. I am still hoping to see his performance potential take on life ~ I know he has the drive, the desire to learn, the intelligence for training ... ... and with his competitive mom, they are sure to succeed. |
