It is always a delight to hear from Sarah about Rhyme - she is so in love with her pup and Rhyme is dedicated to making her mom happy.
Sarah and Rhyme are doing so well and I am so proud of the both of them. Sarah has been sending me photos and updates regularly - THANK YOU Sarah! Rhyme is
well into 40 pounds and looks great on her raw and fresh food diet. They are attending handling classes every week together, and Sarah is publicly socializing Rhyme
on a near daily basis. THIS is how you create a fun and happy show dog ... and a wonderful life companion. Rhyme is quite a character and announces her arrival
wherever they go. She loves attention ... okay, she demands attention ... and is just as sweet and loving in return. We are going to get together within the next week -
before the snow piles up on the passes - to get some great stack photos and some more holiday shots of these two girls.
In the meantime, enjoy these fun photos Sarah has sent me over the couple of weeks.
There are two puppies in this litter who should have had their names switched ... THIS pup is not a mischievous girl ... no she is sprity and cute and alert and soft and
beautiful and smart. She is the most  tender snuggler in the litter, and is soooooooooooooooo well behaved. One could not ask for anything better than this little red girl.
Her mom had not figured out how to use her camera until Mischief came along ... and now I am so glad she figured it out so we can see Mischief, (whose nickname is
"Moo" just like her mommy). I cannot wait until she is with her handlers learning to be a show girl ... she is lovely and moves like a dream.
Enjoy these photos of Mischief ... I was thrilled to get them ~ thank you Elaine.

Cute AND Happy
Today was the first "rough" puppy play day I have had ... UGH !
They saying goes: "all work and no play makes jack a dull boy" ...
... well, in my house today the saying was: "All rain and no fun makes dober-girls Royal Bitches !"
Erica and Breeze wanted to kill each other today. They played and tooth-wrestled; they eat and tooth-wrestled; they napped and tooth-wrestled ...
... these were NOT loving sisters today.
The one to stir things up, if anybody, is Soleil - she had always been the smallest and when we worked to bring her confidence back she became a little pushy ...
... that said. she ALWAYS responds instantly to the "stop" command and redirects her energy into fun somewhere else.
But, not these two ~ Breeze would climb up onto my lap ... then Erica would come over and start nudging into my leg or hand or start licking me to try and take attention
away from Breeze. Breeze would climb higher onto my side and onto my shoulder ... just trying to be bigger that Erica and take over MY decision making authority -
hahahaha. Erica would then jump up onto my lap (mind you, she is NOT SMALL and so you KNOW when she has landed), and get right into my face to consume all the
attention. IF it weren't so funny watching them interact with such intense vigor and intelligent planning, I would have stopped it immediately, but I had to literally STOP
myself from laughing out loud ... that is, until they actually got too growly and snarly ... and started with the tooth-wrestling ... THAT I won't tolerate.
So, today ... the pink and tangerine girlies were put on Santa's Naughty List.
The "pup tent city" is in transition. There are photos below to show that the floor in the dog room is dry enough to put some hard crates in it but not dry enough for rugs
to be laid down.  Since the contracting has not been done yet, I do not want to set up the kennels or other dog stuff or it will just have to be moved out and then back in
again. I hope the supply and demand issue with contractors ends soon or, as I said a few days ago, the contractor will be ME.
UNtil all is said and done, the dogs rotate outside and then back in (it is AWFUL with this sludge we have going on now); the big kids are upstairs and the pups are
downstairs. The puppies rotate getting their turns upstairs with me and the big kids.
On the other hand,
the rest of the kids were a total pleasure, as always.
The big kids are totally non-problematic, and as far as the other pups:
Soleil and Zzzen were the king and queen of tug games - with each other and
with me. Violet was the ruler of the toy box, and when others wanted in and she
could not think of another way to keep them out, she simply began climbing INTO
the toy box. She would sit on the toys - it was hilarious. Of course, the others did
get their toys, but she sat on them anyway  - she WAS "Boss of the Toys".
After we had nearly two hours of indoor playtime when I got home this evening, Notice how the sky went then, from daylight to blackness ...
... or can you not see through my dog-foot-coated sliding glass door. hahahahaha
Anyway, by then it was time for dinner, a potty break, and some rest time.
The rest was more for me than anyone else. This was my first day back to work following my "Viral-ectomy". I think they missed some because my cough is coming
back with a vengance now that I am home. Anyway, there was very little WORK today, but alot of consumed time and travel ...
... and to make matters worse... the weather is downright UGLY.
For the first time EVER, my puppies did not want to go outside - not to play or ANYTHING. Nobody pottied in the house, but I did have to literally force them out the
door as they would NOT go out into the ugliness - even when I went first.
So, while it is only 7:00pm PST, All the dogs are suddenly sound asleep ...
... I think I am going to dawn the robe, and have some hot cocoa with a peppermint stick and giant marshmallows.
