Under the  Miss ~ eltoe
The ongoing photo journal of Katoba Dobermans' 2009 "Miss & Mister" Litter   ~   DPCA Futurity Nominated for 2010
This is Washington State coldest winter in quite some time - and as beautiful as it is, the dogs do not want to spend much time in the lovely sunshine of the morning
when the air temp is ow in the "teens" ~ their feet stick to the ground or ... they slide around on the frozen ground, and after a few minutes ... it is just to darn chilly for
them to stay warm. Warm coats ??? HA ~ fat chance ... not with my playful pups ... the coats would become just another toy ~ like giant FLAGS in a game of flag football.
Therefore, I let the dogs out in groups, I watch them carefully and play with them until I cannot feel my own hands or feet ... then I come in and they usually follow :).
I remain captive to this head-cold that is hitting pretty hard ... today is especially draining because I am really trying to fight it. I simply cannot stand to lay around so I am
going to try to PLAY it out of me in the fresh air today. Needles to say, it is 19 degrees even though the sun is out. I was outside with the dogs filling my lungs with fresh
air ... and got these photos just in time to get them back in before they became pupsicles.
While the big kids went out for some fence running and bird chasing, the puppies came in for a round of "TV Room Tug".
I had gotten a bag of toys at Costso - there are 7 hardy toys in the bag for only $14.97. I HIGHLY recommend these toys - there are three of them that
even the big kids have not destroyed as of yet. VERY good purchase ... along with the Costco dog beds AND the dog blankets (I even have one for
MYSELF) - each item at less than $20.00. The quality is great and with as many Dobermans as some of us have, it makes buying multiple items much
easier ~ great price WITH great quality ........................................................................................................... I guess that's my "plug" for today." :)
Indoor play and tug photos below.
The head cold is really attacking ... pounding headache, cannot even see very well, coughing up a lung, the whole bit. So, I laid on the sofa - AGAIN.
The puppies LOVE this as they hop right up and lay on top of me ... the achiness of this THING that is keeping me down make them feel like giant
boulders being dropped on me ... but look at them ... would YOU tell them they have to get down? Not me !
When everyone woke up ... you guessed it, time for a potty break ... I dragged myself to the backdoor to let them all out.
Gosh ... I hope this virus is just a virus and I hope it LEAVE pretty soon.
That said, I truly only had it in me to take one more photo ...
... but I think it is a good way to end todays journal entry.
