Today is going to be a grand adventure that will last throughout the weekend for several of the puppies.
Braun has his first mini-road trip this weekend, as David has a body builder competition.
Dave will have his first experience taking care of Louis and the two kids by himself as Clare will be out of town.
Rhyme is settling in to her new home beautifully ... I will get to see her on Monday for a follow up, dremeling, and re-posting of ears.
Mischief is ANXIOUSLY awaiting her trip home to Texas this week and Elaine is waiting on bending knee as well.
and as for me ... I will be taking Tyler and Logan to a dog show in Salem, Oregon, where Cathy Ceely will be handling them in style ...
... and I am taking two of the puppies along for their first hotel adventure.
Todd, the puppy's favorite toy, is staying home with the rest of the crew ~ thank you Todd :)

Violet & Erica enjoy their first hotel experience. Tyler and Logan remained more patient than I ever could have hoped for - and that for a wonderful day today. The girls
traveled wonderfully in the vehicle; the ate their food without hesitation, and the went potty outside at the end of their leads. Erica popped the post out of her ear base
SEVERAL times before I was able to get it to stay ... yes, you guessed it ~ Violet did too. Todd is at home with the other dogs - and while the rain is coming down in
SHEETS, the fact remains ~ it is an indoor play day for all.

It is now 2:00pm ~ the pups had an early lunch & the big kids had a snack ... and now I think i will load everyone into the "Journey" and go get something to eat for
myself. I will get all of us back just in time for them to take and after noon nap.
FIrst I checked the emails and saw an update from Rhyme and Sarah ... there were some VERY cute pictures that Sarah had taken of Rhyme playing in her big new
back yard and with her canine companion, "Boxer" (who is actually a Smooth Fox Terrier).
OUTSTANDING - this is one VERY happy puppy ... and her new mom is quite happy as well.

OOPS - look what I did ... AGAIN :)

THINKING about a nap ...

Closing eyes ... PRETENDING to be napping ...

Meanwhile ... "back at the barn" ... I mean, the Best Western :)

When done correctly ~ with experience,
patience, monitoring, lead control and
limitation ... introduction to another dog
can be very successful. If done
incorrectly, it can be dangerous - both
physically and psychologically - to puppy.
Rhyme & Boxer are good buddies already.
Congratulations on the good work, Sarah.

Overall report: Rhyme is eating very well;
has popped her ear posts, (I will redo
them on Monday); and that Rhyme has
melded into her new home without event -
she follows Sarah everywhere - always
wanting to be a part of everything Sarah
does. Rhyme and Brett have developed a
mutual adoration for each other, also.

Just returned from getting some more stuff for lunch to find that all the kids ran into the room, just to go right back to the same place and similar poition as before we left.
Sorry to have disturbed you kids !!!
I will now eat my food and then I think I will SHARE the idea of that nap !!
