Louis report: The Pelton's report that Louis is perfect ... and this fills my heart with absolute JOY. Louis is this family's first Doberman ... first dog as a family, ever ... and in the week Louis has been "home", he has been solid and very successful. The Pelton's spent months reading, asking questions, visiting Louis to focus on his personal details and supporting his individuality. They remain willing to follow breeder direction, and it appears to be paying off in spades. Louis sleeps through the night, is potty trained at their house as well, plays & interacts assertively, and is eating with vigor. He is well-behaved, playful, and confident ... his 'humans' are extremely pleased with Louis' presence. The entire Pelton Family has been patient and kind enough to let Louis call the shots ... and because of that, Louis is going to remain a stellar young man. Because he is doing sooooooo well, Clare & Louis will began their first puppy class tomorrow morning, as planned. Today, Louis was weighed, had his ears posted, stacked, and started some show lead training ... he was amazing ~ sooooo soooooo smart !!

Soleil report: Sadly, during Soleil's first week away from Katoba, she was subjected to extreme over-stimulation, lack of solid emotional support, & exposure to canine intimidation. The situation was such that, within days, she was traumatized to the level of being physically ill ~ lost 15% body weight, and worse yet, her overall spirit and confidence. As assumed, lab tests and in-depth examination, (per the breeders request for an immediate vet check), confirmed that there was no viral, bacterial, communicable, nor any other "illnesses" found. That is, other than such severe stress-induced trauma that vomiting, diarrhea, and subsequent severe dehydration occurred. After constant, yet unsuccessful efforts given to the owner, by the breeder, Soleil was 'recovered' in hopes of rehabilitating her health and sense of self & confidence. With dedication, patience, and lots of work ... Soleil will 'get her body back' and find her true spirit again ~ she has already regained nearly 2 pounds in 1.5 days. Once Soleil is back to solid health and exudes her known confidence, she'll be re-homed in an environment where she'll thrive, find success & be happy ... trauma-free. A great home will eagerly and anxiously await her arrival and will welcome her with open arms & proper rearing. Today she was weighed, ears re-cupped, (couldn't be posted due to large puncture/bite wounds on ear leather), and began integration with a few littermates. Soleil's show-puppy training will be put on hold until she is a "she-devil" :) again.
Braun report: Braun is a very lucky boy. He gets to spend a great deal of time with a daddy who dotes over and spoils him. They are both athletes, so I know Braun will always be healthy and in great shape; and their dual competitive nature will support Braun's future in the show ring. From their first meeting, Braun has been adored, snuggled (which he loves!!!) ... and it seemed as if the Truax's have always been in awe of him - this is awesome! Braun has a big heart and it is full of determination and emotion. While I love ALL my puppies, Braun and I have been through more than any of the others. His surgery was a VERY "big" deal; his chances of survival were slim ... we spent every moment together for weeks; he undured ore than I could have imagined and came through it nearly unscathed. Braun is a confident, fancy, casanova kind of boy who will always hold a special place in my heart. I love this boy and am VERY proud of his parents, David and Margret ... they read, observe, and follow direction when needed ... the three make a fabulous family. Today, Braun was weighed, had ears posted, stacked, and started some show lead training ... he was solid and beautiful.
Zzzen report: Zzzen is a magnificent male. He is strong and determined, willing to please and oh, so smart. He will be a stunning show dog ... ... and an impressive obedience competitor, given the right owner. He is sweet and loves to snuggle ... will ALWAYS be a lap dog. He sits on command, is crate and potty trained, and is now training on a show lead and walking leash. He is my wonderful friend ... and just like Breeze ~ many have wanted him, but the placement considerations have just not been 'right' for the dog. I could not be more proud of this boy - he is the total Doberman already ... a protective nature, alert and observant, social & fun, beautiful in body and movement. If I did not already have a male ... I would love to have kept this awesome male for myself. Today, Zzzen was weighed, had his ears posted, stacked, and started show lead training ... he learned amazingly fast, has stunning movement, very show-ey.
27.9# "He is an amazing beast indeed" ~ David Truax
26.3# AVAILABLE to an approved show & performance home
Mischief report: Mischief is a true character. She is a sweet, feminine, beautiful, opinionated, playful, red-headed tease. She loves to be held ... on her timeline ~ she loves to play ~ by her rules; she loves to learn ~ 'quid pro quo'. She loves to run, and is one of the fastest puppies I have ever seen ~ even when she had a broken toe, she caught a small rabbit in full stride. She lets me know JUST how she feels about having her toenails dremeled, wanting to go out in the morning, and waiting for her food to be prepared. Speaking of food ... her mom, Elaine, has FINALLY converted to the nutritional plan I had originally laid out for her to feed Oz. Elaine is now VERY successful with Oz on the raw/fresh diet, and is no longer struggling with his weight, conditioning, or getting him to eat. YAY ... ELAINE !!!! This means Mischief will also remain happy and healthy ... she LOVES her foods :). She has been quick to learn how to follow some basic commands, move on a show lead, and stack on the table. We will continue this until she goes home this month. We take our Continental Airlines adventure on November 11 ... I will miss this little redhead terribly. Today, Mischief was weighed, ears were posted, stacked, and started some show lead training ... she will be a lot of fun for Linda George!
23.8# "She's gonna give Oz a run for his money." ~ Elaine Richman
Breeze report: Breeze is a beautiful name ... soft and floating ... it fits her perfectly. Until, that is, she becomes a "gust" of wind ~ running through the room & leaping over a table to get into your lap before the other puppies. She can be so physical and active, yet so loving and sweet and tender ... THIS is a fun bitch! She is very smart and likes one on one attention - she will learn very well and very quickly this way. She is still the raving beauty she has always been ~ fancy and flashy which will be fun in the ring ... struts like she's on the cat walk no matter what she is doing. This little girl was introduced to the show lead this weekend as well, and I look forward to watching her progress into becoming a fabulous show girl. I see agility in her future as well ... theri is a LOT of FUN inside of her!!! I love Breeze; she is Todd's favorite 'little bean'; EVERYONE who has met her wants her ... but, I need to place her in a home that will show her, AND give her an active life ~ she has far too much potential and play drive to be put up in a crate or on a sofa!!! Today, Breeze was weighed, had her ears posted, stacked and started show lead training ... she is going to be an amazing show girl !!!!
24.2# AVAILABLE to an approved show & performance home
20.15# On the road to recovery.
Rhyme report: Rhyme is going to live a great life - she goes home tomorrow and will be sporting a convertible, going to the gym, and probably sleeping on daddy's bed. Will is smitten with Rhyme and even though Will has a "human" girlfriend, I imagine Rhyme will let 'her' know just WHO is on top of the priority list :) Rhyme is conformationally gorgeous; her tail wags constantly; her expression is intense & engaging; she walks with authority at all times; and ... she is cute, Cute, CUTE !!! This is one of the funnest & funniest bitches in the litter ~ I would definitely have kept this one myself ... had she not needed to be the ONLY bitch in the house! Will has read many-a-dog-book ~ and is seeing that they are NOT Doberman info books, that everyone has a different method, & again ... are NOT Doberman books. He is wonderful at asking for direction, (THERE is a lesson to ALL men - oops, did I say that?), and then follows the lead, so to speak. This is a good pair and I believe there will be many years of happiness for these two. Today, Rhyme was weighed, ears posted, stacked and started show lead training ... she did very well and is going to show with great intensity like her grama, Echo.
22.10# "she is so cute" ~ Will Kellogg
Erica report: Erica, Erica, Miss America ... what am I going to do ... with you. I have been in love with this bitch, (and her sister), since the moment they were born. The dilemna: which bitch? I simply cannot decide. They are both exactly what I wanted ...each with their own FABULOUS qualities ~ one red, one black ... ERICA being the "wonderful redhead". She is sweet and silly, smart and observant, solid and curvy, strong and opinionated, beauty queen with brains, has her own agenda ... and I love Love LOVE her! She has the same bad habits as her Grama, Echo ... living a Quid Pro Quo life ... and she has Echo's same AWESOME intensity & movement, as well. She has the style and grace of her dam, Misty ... the front assembly of her grandsire, Gunther, the bone of her paternal grandparents, & the fancy of her sire, Mr. B. All that said, she will be successful with me, or anyone else who is willing to smother her with affection & love and training! Today, Erica was weighed, ears posted, stacked, and started some show lead training ... she will be a smooth moving show girl ... and will do anything for a cookie !!!
23.10# "she's delicious ... and she 'wants world peace', too :)" ~ Kathy Babbitt
Violet report: Violet is my ravishing beauty ... she will never leave! She was literally STRIKING, from the moment she was born. I had the hardest time trying to decide what to name her ... NOTHING fit her for so long. She's as pretty as a flower; she is a budding beauty; she is constantly blossoming; the brought a spring bloom to my autumn season; her collar is purple ... ... she IS a "VIOLET". She is a delicate girl in mannerism; sweet as pie personality; deserves her own complete staff; is lovely and princess-like; and wants to be doted over. She is becoming daddy's little girl more and more every day - she LOVES Todd ... she IS 'Miss Priss' ... and I adore this little princess. She is so fancy, I love to look at her standing in the yard first thing in the morning, working her stack photos each week, watching her sleep and dream daily. Violet had an obstruction early this week - was treated successfully, but suffered weight loss ... she is back on the mend and is on her way back up the scale! Today, she was weighed, had her ears posted, stacked, and is being a wonderful sister-friend for Soleil.
