This is my last week with half of the litter, as "Homecoming Day" for them is scheduled for this Sunday, October 25, 2009.
I am melting with each snuggle ...
... I am holding tightly each time one of them cradles into my arms ...
... I laugh at each of their antics ~ scaling the baby gates or the pen walls to get where they REALLY want to be ...
... I continue to be amused each time one of the pups jumps up into my lap for some one on one ...
... I enjoy each of the 'lick-lick-lick-nibble-nibble-nibble' attacks to my face and hair ...
... I continue to be in awe of the beauty that each beholds as they trot across the yard, free stack, run in flight-like manner ...
... I will miss them terribly ...
... I love them dearly ...
Since some of you have asked for reminders, here are a few of the bare essentials that you need to have readied for your puppy when he/she gets home:
** Varikennel & bedding, (solid crate for travel in vehicle)
** Soft crate & bedding, (inside house - make sure it is in an area that gives dog privacy & quiet but can still see/hear you ~ this is his/her space)
           ** Collar, (soft) & Leash
           ** Toys & Chews
** Treats, (string cheese is GREAT)
** 2 Stainless steel dog dishes, (1 for water, 1 for food)
** Foods & Supplements, (puppy goes home with 5# of grind that should last you several days - you must have everything else):
b/s chicken breasts, (for ease, boil ahead of time 7 store in Ziploc bag)
canned mackeral
veggies - spinach, diced tomatoes, sweet potatoes, etc, (low/no salt canned are easy)
fruits, (bananas, apples, melons, etc)
cottage cheese
plain yogurt
eggs
b-naturals.com supplements, (make sure you have ordered ahead of time)
PetTabs
** Rugs ~ if you have tile or hard wood floors, you MUST cover them with no-slide rugs, etc so that the puppy will not slip.
** BABY GATES will be your best friend ... they block off rooms, (where there may be no door); they cover fronts of areas (bookshelves, etc)
where puppy is not allowed to play; and they can help block stairs, (NO puppies on stairs)

As you already know, there are more things on the 'suggestions list', but these are things you need ready
before the 'baby' comes home.

With less than a week to go, for some ... I hope this information helps :)
WOW ... that is nearly TWO HUNDRED POUNDS of puppy, (186.98 #, to be exact).
Oh, how I wish they could stop growing for just the last few days they are with me :)
But, alas, they are puppies with an agenda: eat, sleep, poop, play, and GROW !
"... it's a bird ...
... it's a plane ..."
