Sunday found us back at NorthStar, for an entire day of "puppy stuff" again. They were feeling great and starting to eat again. Some of the pups paraded around
dawning their "coneheads" ... others simply slept the day away - the heat of the sun and the cool breeze coming through the kennel doors made for a restful
experience - even I was ready to lay down for a nap in the Canine Taj Mahal. Eventually, they all had all jumped in and out of the kennel through the opened kennel
door out to a huge grassy run - finding it quite entertaining to stare down, jump happily, and run the fence along side their gorgeous sire,
CH Marienburg's Bordeaux ... "Mr. B".
He is so sweet, beautiful, strong, athletic; has such presence; moves with such authority; and as a sire ... has stamped himself on every puppy produced.
My heart LEAPED to find out the Lisa really likes my litter - critiques from a stud dog owner are weighed heavily in my heart and documented in my breeding plans for
future reference. It was equally nice to hear John's approval as he would look at the pups and say, "yep, that's Mr. B", with a smile on his face.
The consensus of the associates who saw them litter this weekend, also found them to be VERY nice puppies.
Lisa and I had concurred that this could be a good breeding, although an outcross, from the start - how nice it is to see that prediction - the HOPE - materialize.
Misty is the first "non-Marienburg-bred' bitch to be bred to Mr. B ~ and Misty has proven that it can work QUITE beautifully.
Misty has, & is, a gorgeous "canvas" - carrying strengths from all four of her grandparents:

... all things that we felt would and should compliment and or be complimented by the fabulous Mr. B.
The biggest thing we hoped to keep is her short back and one piece topline.
We kept it ALL. Everything complimented EVERYTHING.
