The ongoing photo journal of Katoba Dobermans' 2009 "Miss & Mister" Litter   ~   DPCA Futurity Nominated for 2010
Today's featured puppy:
Katoba's Miss Behaving
Today was a good day for the Divine Nine ... they ran and played and explored in the "back forty" again. Much to my dislike, they enjoy it and I HAVE to let them be adventurous
... even if it means getting smelly, wet, and dirty! Soap & water does wonders right?
Echo & Erica
Eight years & Eight weeks
Echo is absolutely amazing. Every now and then, she needs a puppy-fix, so she will grab a tennis ball or a tug toy and run out into the middle of the puppy
pack to tease them. She LOVES to play with the pups ~ today was no different ... Echo is my hero :)
As if all this fun wasn't enough for one day ... today was a REAL adventure for Braun. Auntie Logan mentored him through a vet visit ON LEAD. Yes, today he went in for his last
post-surgical evaluation, had his stitches removed and another full exam ... and now he has been cleared via Health Certification as well. So where ear crops are concerned:
"Thunderbirds are Go."
Here are some photos of Logan and Braun - while he is learning to walk and be kept on leash - Logan was so patient with him and all of his shenanigans!
Happily, the 14-pound Braun will now get to return home and reunite with the rest of his brood - once again, experiencing the
great outdoors in the BACK yard. I think his weight will start to go back up now that he will be back into "competitive eating".
And, maybe he will finish potty training the rest of the puppies, now that he mastered running to the door to go out :)
Dr. Sig Nottingham, DVM
(Braun's surgeon)
In all his years of practice,
this was "Dr. Not's" first surgery of this type on a SEVEN week old puppy.
A True Success Story :)
"MISCHIEF"
The members of "Team Mischief" have yet to meet, but since they have been getting so much attention lately, I thought I would feature the darling redhead today. She is
structurally beautiful, exudes charisma, is sophisticatedly fun, and has a face that melts butter. She will be going to Texas in November, and after a short bonding period with
Elaine, Mischief will go to stay with her handler, Linda George, throughout her Championship Career & then a Specials Campaign. When she is done with the "pageantry",
she may take a stroll down "whelping box lane" before diving head-first into the performance venues. Mischief will have some big shoes to fill, as by then, "Team Oz & E" will
have garnered many titles in both obedience and agility. Mischief is as smart as it gets, is always eager to learn and loves to be loved. She is independent in some ways -
just as her Grand-dam is, but that gives her just enough attitude to make things exciting. Mischief is her own gal and as such deserves her own 'way'. Not a cookie cutter
bitch - she has a special 'something'. I know she is going to bring about MANY wonderful memories for me and ALL involved in this breeding.
Being the mischievous little girl that she is ... OF COURSE, the one day I choose to feature her,
she chooses not to give me ANY great photo opportunities.
Oh well, gotta love this precocious red girlie.
