The puppies are 55 days old today. While they are consistent in type, each has endearing & distinctive personality traits.
Braun is Mr. Big - all boy - the linebacker - the Homecoming King - the guy everyone wants to 'hang' with.
Louis is Mr. Wonderful - he's a teddy bear - goes with the flow - observant - always fun - the hunky best friend.
Zzzen is Mr. Sandman - dreamy - the Casanova - spirited & smart - driven to play - focused to work - 'tall dark & handsome'.
Breeze is Ms. Congeniality - she dances to her own drummer - loves life & all in it - does everything with gusto - a charmer.
Violet is Ms. Priss - she is a princess - pretty as a flower - always ready to be pampered - beautifully showy.
Erica is Ms. America - she wears a tiara - 'God shed His grace on her' - a fiery redhead who loves to be loved
Soleil is Ms. Sunshine - this girlie lights up a room - never stops playing - tons of delightful energy - poses for the camera
Rhyme is Ms. Muffet - insistent, opinionated - bounding with energy - the world IS her "tuffet" - poetically precious.
Mischief is Ms. Behaving - ironically, the opposite of her name - smart & capable - affectionate - beautiful - Echo.
The entire crew misses having Braun to play with ... and will be glad when he is back in the mix. Nevertheless, it doesn't seem to be slowing down the play.
Because Braun is not outside with them to referee the wrestling, it gets a bit out of hand at times. hahaha. Also, there are now a variety og "tug" winners (he ALWAYS wins
when he tugs), and, without the "canine pack leader" to 'mitigate', I have noticed several new puppy teeth wounds on the brood - ugh! Today, they played all of their
games, rolled in the dirt, found yucky things to get into, explored, shared bones, were introduced to beef franks as stack-training treats, gave a much better potty training
effort, and have discovered the PNW's most favorable puppy treat: PINECONES. hmmm.
mine ... mine ... mine ... mine ... MINE!!
Late Day News Flash:
Mischief (red collar red bitch), chases, and CATCHES, a young, wild bunny ... yes, in full run.
I have NEVER seen a 7 week old PUPPY move THAT fast ... EVER. It was shocking.
Louis is loving being "naked", since he was the first to outgrow his tiny puppy collar.
He is going to be dressed soon, though, and will resume his position as the Black-collar Red Boy :)
"SOLEIL"
While I always knew this litter appeared beautiful, they couldn't ALL be ring-worthy right? Soleil was one that could have gone either way early on. She was very small,
longer backed & shorter legged. But ... there was something about her that kept jumping out at me, something undeniable. Her future mom, Tammy Russo, felt that if her
girl was able to compete for a Championship, then she was up for the adventure; and in turn, if it turned out that she as not going in the ring, she would love her just the
same. What a blessing that was, as our little Miss Sunshine continues to blossom before my eyes. I KNEW there was something to be watched with this one and sure
enough, she is awesome. Her charisma will be quite a benefit in the ring, and her structure is just what I hoped it would become. Congrats, Tammy ... she is a show girl :)!
