Braun's first recheck appointment went beautifully. The staff loves him and gives him so much affection. Everybody in the office wanted "Braun-time" ... especially Katy.
Katy and her mother, Elaine, both work at the office and they have decided their next dog will be a Doberman ... and they want one from Katoba. What a wonderful
testament to the dogs I have been blessed with. Braun is recovering at a rate far better than we could have expected. He has gained more than a pound and soon he
will be a "scale-tipper" again. Dr. Lindner suggested Famotadine, (Pepsid AC), for the stomach acid. He is also being given comfort meds for his throat post-intubation.
His incision area is clean, smooth and healing quickly, (aside from the countless internals, he has 10 external sutures). He will go back for additional follow-ups, and I
expect continued progress. Following his final re-check & after sutures are removed, he will be able to get his Health Certificate.
Ear crops have been delayed for the entire litter now, and will be done on October 10. They will now be going to their homes on or about October 17-20 "ish".

It was a gorgeous morning so I took eight of the babies out for their morning walkabout and play time, before taking Braun to the vet office. I love to watch them play ...
... some of the things they do make me laugh like a child. They are learning & growing daily in every way - and becoming such individuals. This is so amazing.
After all the adult kids had eaten and come in for the night, I took care of Braun and got him settled in for several hours. Then, it was time for the "night out with the
babies". The stars were already coming out and the evening was beautiful. The pups were FULL of energy (why would today be any different than any other - ha), so I
sat in the middle of the yard throwing tennis and wiffle balls for them to chase. Because of the dusky sky, the quality of the photos is poor, but those that show the
"flying ear shots" are so funny, the quality does not matter as much as the fun!
