The ongoing photo journal of Katoba Dobermans' 2009 "Miss & Mister" Litter ~ DPCA Futurity Nominated for 2010

Today started out well, to say the least. The puppies Uncle Ledger (Katoba's Emerald Knight) is now:
Am Int'l CH Katoba's Emerald Knight CGC CGN
He finished his AKC championship today. He also only needs 4 points to become a Canadian champion, and only one rally leg to garner his RN title. He is truly a dog for
these pups to look up to. Ledger will be bred to one of the girls in this litter, probably in late 2011, making it the first Katoba x Katoba line breeding.
With the lovely fronts in all these girls, the great bone, the wonderful angles, the movement, the drive, the temperaments ... that will prove to be a beautiful breeding.

The Pelton's were so wanting to come and visit Louis. I explained to them the necessity of keeping Braun protected and unexposed ... and other factors were a bit of
a concern. Nevertheless, Clare's persistance led to a great plan that worked for everyone. God had blessed us with sunshine, so we decided they should come down
for a short visit before the game, (they are Seahawk fans and were going to be watching), and we would meet in my backyard for some playtime. Here are some

Braun Update:
He is absoluetly amazing and his recovery seems to be going very well thus far. He is eating regular small meals and is starting to fill out a bit. It is shocking to see how
quickly a very young dog can 'disappear' after missing a few meals pre-op. He is 2 pounds lighter than before the surgery, so we will begin monitoring his weight again
after his first follow-up appointment tomorrow. He woke this morning to go potty, had part of his meds, then went right back to bed.

While he is still gaustly thin, this is a vast improvement over his appearance last night.
He is eating with enthusiasm and satisfaction ... and ... all "functions" are working well.

By early evening, Braun was walking in and outside to potty ... prancing round the living room ... playing with toys ...
... and was even trying to sneak under the gate while I was cooking.
He is doing so well, so fast.

" Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep."

Braun's first follow up appointment is tomorrow. More info then.

Violet, Breeze, Soleil, Rhyme, Erica, Mischief Zzzen, and Louis ...
... they have not slowed during Braun's need for more one on one. They all had a very fun afternoon out in the sun.
