As soon as the horrible weather let up and the backyard flooding subsided :), I finished putting together the outdoor
play area for the babies. I wanted a variety of surfaces so I included carpet, cement, and 'astro-turf'. I built some
mini-agility equipment for them to play on: an "A-frame, a teeter, and a table" ... and I bought a cardboard tunnel,
which they love. I had set up a few "weave poles", but the pups have decided it is much more fun to carry them in
their mouths and use them as "swords" ... so be it :). There are chewing toys, tug toys and tennis balls to play with.
And, last but not least ... I took the whelping box out there and turned it upside down ... it is now called "Fort Katoba".
It is great fun for all. Here are some photos of the first two days outside.
