Today was, again, another day of 'full-baths-needed'. UGH !! But, it was worth it because [yellow collar black girl], "Soleil", was preparing to meet her new parents today.
The rest of the day I watched the pups grow before my eyes; become much more interested in toy play; explore every nook and cranny of the kitchen and breakfast
room and a few even escaped down the hall. Cahill is the BEST at announcing the escapees!!! And, as a side note - those who know Cahill USED TO "crow" at 4:22am
each day, NOW waits until he hears me up with the puppies. GOOD dog! Back to the pups - they were "weighed and washed", played with, worked, photographed, and
adored all day. Todd had to work for part of the day but when he got home, we left them home - no pup sitter - for the first time, while we went out for dinner. I had
gotten to the point that I HAD to get out of the house for something other than washing the dog blankets at the laundry-mat. Knowing my need for fresh air and adult
HUMAN activity, I still felt nerves eating away at me, even though the pups were safe & secure. I let myself enjoy a yumptious dinner (El Toro), with my husband, for the
first time in quite a while. Great food great company and great right of passage - for the pups ... and for their voluntarily sleep-deprived Breeder :).

"You're on Candid Camera"
I met Tammy Russo at the dog show in Puyallup, back in June. She caught me on a stressed day when I was late ... and to make matters worse - it was my birthday and
my husband had forgotten, (it was a big one ... but, then again, they aren't going to get any smaller, are they ?!!). The day basicly stunk thus far, and I was not as
attentive to her interest in my dogs as I could have been. Actually, that is the nicest way I can say I was being a Bi#*@. After the show I shared with a friend my
shortness with the gal who had approached me, feeling a bit bad since the woman stayed to watch the show AND congratulated me on my dogs - even though we did
not win. I was mortified, but gave her the contact card she requested anyway. I felt her kindness toward me was completely undeserved, and believed I would never hear
from her again. Imagine my shock when weeks later I got an email and a questionnaire from her, hoping to be considered for a puppy from the Misty x Mr. B litter.
Hesitant at first, I finally made plans to go over and do an interview and home check. Luckily her interest was genuine, she was very informed about and had studied up
on Katoba Dobermans. I spent a coupe hours at their house, and before I even left I told them I would love for them to have one of the girls!! I invited them over to see
the puppies the following weekend. During the week I contacted Tammy to tell them I felt I had just the girl for them ... "Soleil". They were thrilled, (which completely
warmed my heart) ... and they accepted my invitation to come and meet the pups ... especially Soleil. Today, Frank & Tammy Russo arrived promptly at 10:30am ...
much to my surprise, they came bearing gifts - a single, yellow, very fragrant rose - indicative of friendship, but also Soleil's 'color' - and if that weren't great enough ...
Frank brought fresh picked vegetables from the beautiful garden he hobbies. Soleil responded immediately to both of them. Tammy got right down on the kitchen floor
to play, Frank followed - these are great "dogfolk". Because Soleil has had her name for a while, she responds to it beautifully - no matter who says it. That is why i
name them as soon as possible!!! Soleil will be shown in conformation, by Kathy. She iwll be trained and compete in obedience by Tammy. This is a great match - the
pups all played and eventually fell asleep sprawled around the kitchen ... but not Soliel ... she kept going and going and going until she literally could go no more.
Tammy picked her up ti say goodbye for now and Soleil could not wake up :).Thank you again and again for these very unexpected and wonderful surprises. I have
already enjoyed a raw corn on the cob and had a fresh cut tomato for lunch ... actually ... it was right after you left. :) DELICIOUS!
