FRIDAY, AUGUST 28, 2009
I wanted to have a stress-free, everything perfect, happy, happy, happy Friday ... so... late last night, before the pups went to bed, I fed them their last meal, gave
them a good sponge bath, and dremmelled their toenails ... all 146 of them. Oh, how they love that - NOT! But they were wonderful in that they recover instantly and
return to playing immediately. That left nothing "extra-logistical" for Friday (today). The puppies then slept for 4 hours straight , nursed, and then went back to sleep
for another 3 hours ... before telling me it was definitely time to get up and PLAY! Since I am still sleeping next to the whelping box (I know I don't have to but I "Don't
Wanna Miss a Thing"), I am now awakened by puppy-yips, licking, and an occassional bite, (they have 'razor teeth' now), on the earlobe. Nevertheless, I am lucky
enough to always ALWAYS wake up to greatness ... the photos above are what 'that' looked like this morning.
"1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 ........................................................... 9"
of course ... Zzzen escapes, to find peace and harmony only
inches away from the whelping box - confident, and in full view.
All cute ... All the time
Pig-pile on mom !!!
TALK to the HAND
Excuse me ... it's "Zzzen-time" now !
Purple collar mom, Misty ... and purple collar daughter, Violet
Today has been standard fare ...
lots of play and interaction; contintued anti-stress
response work; three gruel/grind mix meals with several
nursing times folded into Misty's puppy play time. weights
will be posted tonight; Braun's parents making the weekly
visit tonight; and Uncle Ronin is spending the night. FUN
day - just wish the weather would have been nice longer!!
Lots of consistency in the puppies - more details of
personalities presenting - busy and focused pups ... all
involved should be so proud. Placement decisions will be
made on the few available within the next week - time is
going so quickly - ear crops in just 25 days. Tonight,
David & Margret visited Braun again. "He's huge ... he
looks like a 'real dog' now", Margret said. Just wait ! It was
awesome to see their reactions to his development. David
took a million photos of his boy & Margret took up more of
the snuggle time this week :). They brought down a
potential new-rig-purchase, so we test-sized the big boy
crates in Braun's new wheels ...  quite fancy !
