By late afternoon yesterday, I thought the day was a 'bust' ... until, that is
... I did an interview and home check at the home of Frank & Tammy
Russo. After a 2+ hour visit, they became the most recent approved home
for a little "Miss". So, Sunday ended on a high note after all. Today, I
weighed the pups (left), and found that at just over 3 weeks of age, Braun
has topped the 4 pound mark. WOW - they are growing so fast. They
have begun trying puppy-pablum a few times a day - but, they still much
prefer Misty-Moo which is to be expected ... after all, you have seen
pictures of her "Milky Way". Their spirits are boisterous and dramatic.
They are vocal and opinionated. They are ALL proving fit into the
perceptions I had from day 3 on. They are so expressive and definitely
have strong personailities. They sing, yell, bark, growl, yip, yap, and talk
right to my face. It is so fun !!!!!! They wrestle, roll, pup-tease, all those
awesome pup-play games. Three of them, (green, red, purple), hold the
end of a fabric toy in their mouth while I lightly tug - albeit for only a
second or two. Several of them will truly "play" with my fingers - and I dont
think it will be long before they start playing with toys. This week, I am
finishing the build of the new "mini-agility" equipment (teeter, ladder,
a-frame, balance board, weeves). We'll get tunnel and 'castle' & maze
pieces when we go on our Home Depot field trip.
Pups were wromed again, today, with Nemex-2.
Lastly, their teeth have broken the gum surface so they are chewing on
everything - especially "each other".

Hi, Josh !
Pssst ... I've got a secret ...
THIS is NOT like MOM !
Thank you, God, for my babes
Milk? WHAT milk ?????
"Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
hohohohohoho hehehehehehe
hahahahahahaha '
Just about the time i thought the pups would be ready for a relaxing evening ... Misty ran in from running in the dirt,
bringing half the backyard with her while the puppies were having their 2nd attempt at pablum (puppy gruel).
Needless to say, they were ALL covered with filth and food.
So, I rushed Misty upstairs for a good shower ... then, with the use of the puppy-bath formula recommended by
Faye Strauss, (see the DPCA education page),
each of the puppies got their first full bath tonight. I am VERY glad I incorporated the water intro & exposure into
the other bio-sensory program and early neurological stimulation exercises. IT PAID OFF - as each of the pups
received their bath, a rinsing with the sink sprayer, and assertive toweling off - without any inappropriate or
over-reactive behaviors. Three Cheers to the "Divine Nine"!! Hip hip hurray - hip hip hurray - hip hip hurray !!!
These puppies could not be more well-adjusted at this point - charismatic & solid in every way!
Peace, Quiet, & Cleanliness Restored !
