HAPPY 3rd Week BIRTHDAY to the "Divine Nine"
Last night was another LONGGGGGG night - Misty did not settle in for the night until after midnight and the puppies seemed to be in 'extra-need' of nursing throughout
the night ~ but only until they fell asleep. Except, that is, for green collar black boy "Zzzen" ... he nursed all night long. I suspect they were all very tired from visitors,
and Misty is now needing a bit more food even to keep up with their growth needs. That said, today was their introduction to puppy gruel. The first time, those who were
brave enough to jump in with both feet (literally), were pleasantly surprised. It was so much fun to see them trying to hold there balance - and we could even see some
of their beautiful angles. Misty was thrilled to receive the leftovers as a treat!

Today, Camp Katoba was visited by the Pelton Family ~ Dave,Clare,
Josh and Sara. They will soon be owned by black collar red boy
"Louis". Louis Armstrong sang "what a wonderful world" ... Misty whelped
a wonderful boy ... and the Pelton's are a wonderful Christian family.
What more could I possibly ask for this wonderful pup.
Josh was the best helper EVER - transferring pups and helping me prep
for their first 'gruel meal'; Sara & I became great friends - what a sweet
girl she is; Clare and Dave oo-ed and ahhh-ed over the pups.
I have raved about this family since they first came to meet me at a Rally
Trial - I selfishly relish in such delightful parts of God's plan !
While they originally looking for a black girl?, this dog seemed so right
for the entire family for so many reasons. Due to Louis' excellent
conformation, the Pelton's have agreed that he'll be shown by his
breeder in the conformation ring; Louis will be Dave's 2nd in command
at the house; he will be obedience & therapy trained by Clare; he will be
Sara's service companion; and of course, Louis will always be the BEST
friend of Sir Josh. WOW- lots of greatness ahead for this dog and his
family. I have full confidence in the dog, in the families goals ... and I
have big hopes for this future Champion Service Dog!

The puppies had a full day and
hopefully will get a good night's sleep.
I look forward to the upcoming weeks
of meeting with new homes, more gruel
meals, and those all too important
stack photos. The weather is getting
better, again, so I see outdoor play in
our near future ... and more visits from
Josh and Sara :)
