August 13 ~ It's a very special date in my life. Today, what better way to spend it than with my own beautiful dogs, and the darling litter of puppies. Life
could be so much worse than this, right ?! The puppies are being weighed in full pounds now and are really growing at a steady and solid pace. Thank you,
Cathy Ceely, for the use of your scale for the newborn weights I needed something bigger, so I got a new scale from "PetEdge", (below). It's great for the
day to day weigh-ins and will go to 40+ lbs. It is a floating scale so it feel wobbly to stand on ~ I put their wet washcloth on it to work a bit of balance & to
add to the "BioSensor" program / early neurological stimulation work. They are coming along so well with everything - I am so proud of them.

Today was a fairly full day for the babies: With the weather turning to rain, the ground has turned to mud ... therefore, Misty brings some inside - even with
a quick wet wash when she comes in. She LOVES the early morning wet running. I can't stand the thought of a tiny puppy being dirty ... at all. Misty is VERY
tidy and cleans them thoroughly ,,, but that doesn't ease my mind enough. I find that I am interfering now. So, today they got their first full body "Baby Wipe"
bath - every nook and cranny, so to speak. Misty is so good at her work that each used wipe was spotless. Then, immediately following each bath I gave,
Misty had to redo my work. I am no longer interfering. :) In addition to that I removed any remaining tail sutures early this AM ... and then ... I Dremmeled all
their toenails again. Needless to say ... where the dogs are concerned, MY name was "mud" today. Somehow ... I think all will be fine tomorrow :)

Oh yes ... not to be forgotten ... "Happy 16th Anniversary, Todd" :)
